Our range of pre-owned pieces has become more and more popular with discerning jewellery buyers, and not without good reason. Reduced vat payment applies to all pre-owned jewellery and that, coupled with already competitive pricing adds up to substantial savings over brand new pieces.

We are able to source a range of fine gold bars in a variety of weights from 10 grams to 1 kilo. Currently, our most popular choice is 100-gram bars although we’re also happy to provide both Krugerrands and Sovereigns at highly competitive rates.
We believe that sovereigns, half sovereigns and Britannia coins are capital gains tax-free but we would always advise you to ask for clarification from your tax adviser or accountant before investing.

If any of your jewellery is in need of repair, we’re ready and waiting to restore it to its former glory. We may even improve it in the process!
Our team of craftsmen has the experience to take care of jewellery of any age, make or style and the skills to carry out even the most delicate repairs. And to ensure your peace of mind, all of our repair work is guaranteed for a full 12 months.
Valuations
However careful you may be with your jewellery, it’s always wise to be sure that it is fully insured for its real value. To do that, you’ll need to provide your insurer with a true and accurate valuation.
At Didsbury Jewellers we have over 40 years experience in assessing jewellery of every kind and issuing valuations to satisfy both our customers and their insurance companies.
What’s more, we charge a fixed fee for all valuations, not a percentage of the value of each item, so you can be sure that the price you pay is a fair one.
Remodeling
If you have a piece of jewellery that you no longer wear, perhaps it’s gone out of fashion, your tastes have changed or it was a gift or inheritance that isn’t quite “you”, we could give it a new lease of life.
Our craftsmen can rework or remodel any existing piece to match your style or bring it right up to date.
